July 30th According to the Sun, former Manchester United star Valencia dissuaded a man to commit suicide in his hometown of Ecuador.
Valencia shared a video on social media where he found a young man preparing to jump off the bridge to commit suicide earlier this week, and he and police dissuaded the man from giving up his suicide.
He wrote on social media:
I experienced something very unpleasant last night.
A young man wanted to end his life from this bridge, and he was still very young. I got out of the car and approached him. I didn't save him, but I tried to talk to him.
Thank God, he recognized me. I tried to say a few words to motivate him, but it was very difficult.
Thank God, his family arrived later and decided not to commit suicide.
Please take good care of ourselves, our thoughts and souls. Mental health is very important. Please let us take care of all this - life is very fragile.
At present, Valencia's post has received more than 43,000 likes.
