Koeman: We should learn from Spain in terms of pressing, we sometimes want to take a leisurely walk on the pitch

On October 13, in the European group stage of the World Cup preliminaries, the Netherlands defeated Iceland with a score of 4-0. The Orange Army experienced an almost perfect night. After the game, Dutch coach Koeman praised the team's performance, but also pointed out the existing problems.

About the team's performance

Our team played very exciting football at times. We played a high-intensity game, with players weaving in between the opponent's defenses and launching attacks from the wings that created danger for the opponent. It's no accident that we put Spain under pressure twice this spring. But sometimes we sit back too much and if that happens in the World Cup we could be knocked out and that's something that needs to improve.

From the beginning, we went all out to win and score as many goals as possible. Unfortunately, the fourth goal came a bit late. In the first half, when we lost our position, we were less threatening. Justin Kluivert ran to the touchline a few times, and Hrafenberch moved straight from the No. 6 position to the right-back position, which shouldn't happen.

Kluivert Jr. does bring a different offensive situation to the team, and these are difficult choices. Players like De Jong, Hrafenberch and Reinders, they can play in any team.
