The top winger cannot be bought with 60 million euros, Barcelona should wake up

Barcelona's interest in Liverpool winger Luis Dias is no secret, but their actual actions make the transfer look more like a "low-cost test".
According to reporter Fernando Polo, Barcelona has set a transfer fee cap of 60 million euros for Dias and has made it clear that it will not engage in a bidding war with Bayern Munich. This attitude seems particularly "retro" in today's transfer market, which is often hundreds of millions.
Barcelona coach Frick and sporting director Deco both regarded Dias as the number one target in the summer window, but the club's financial situation obviously does not allow them to spend a lot of money like Bayern. Bayern has never been ruthless in the transfer market in recent years, and the best example is the signing of Kane for 100 million euros last year. If the King of Nan decides to increase the price, Barcelona will have almost no power to fight back and can only watch the target be taken away.
Liverpool firmly sits on the Diaoyutai. Klopp's team is not in a hurry to sell Dias, especially when Salah still has variables in the future. The Colombia winger can be the team's core attacker in the future. Barcelona's 60 million euro price is even difficult for Liverpool to consider seriously under the current transfer market. You know, Arsenal paid £65 million for Havertz last year, and Dias's ability and market value are obviously higher.
Barcelona's "pursuing" strategy also reflects their transfer difficulties in recent years to some extent. Due to the restrictions of the Fiscal Fairness Act, clubs cannot spend a lot of money like they did in the past, and can only strengthen their lineup by setting price ceilings, visa-free or loan-loaning. But the problem is that competition among top players often requires real money investment. If Barcelona adhere to the "low-price Taobao" strategy, they are likely to fail again in key signings.
At present, whether Bayern raises the price will become the key. If the South King decides to meet Liverpool's asking price, Barcelona will have no choice; but if Bayern chooses to withdraw, Barcelona may still have a chance to lower the transfer fee through negotiations. However, with Liverpool's negotiation style, they are unlikely to let people go easily unless Barcelona can come up with more attractive plans, such as joining player exchanges, or increasing floating bonuses.
In any case, Barcelona's operation once again proves that they can no longer call the wind and rain in the transfer market as they did in the past. The quotation of 60 million euros is more like a temptation than a real determination. If Dias is ultimately unable to sign, Deco and Frick may have to turn to other targets, such as Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao. But the problem is that in a highly competitive transfer market, hesitation often means missing out on opportunities. Can Barcelona get what they want this time? Or is it the "runner" in the transfer market again? Time will give the answer.
