Team Exclusive: Newcastle can t afford Anderson s transfer fee, only Manchester City/La Liga can

Hupu reported on November 21 that Craig Hope, a famous reporter from the Daily Mail, exclusively answered questions from Newcastle fans.
What are the chances of Newcastle United re-signing Elliot Anderson?
This may not be what Newcastle fans want to hear, but as far as I know, the possibility is quite low. Are Eddie Howe and Wilson willing to explore this possibility?
Yes, of course. Howe never considered selling Anderson and Wilson was part of Nottingham Forest's transfer team in the summer of 2024 when they signed the midfielder for what was effectively just £15m.
Signing him now would cost roughly six times the transfer fee - which is one of the two key reasons why I don't think this deal will happen.
Newcastle's transfer record is £69 million, and for a club struggling to catch up financially under the Professional Sporting Rules (PSR), a transfer fee of close to £100 million is currently not within their scope.
Secondly, although Anderson longs to return to Newcastle, he feels that he will have many domestic and foreign clubs to choose from next summer. My hunch is that the Manchester duo (or at least one of them) will be gunning for him. Don't be surprised if Spanish clubs are interested in him.
Anderson is 23 years old this year, and he knows that his next club will be the club where he played at the peak of his career. As an England international, he deserves the opportunity to compete for the league and European championships. From that perspective, Newcastle's journey could be a little longer - and that's not a criticism, it's a reality.
Before England’s away game against Albania on Sunday, I appeared on talkSPORT. Host Adrian Durham calls Anderson my favorite player (apparently he's seen and heard what I have to say about Anderson), so I'd love to have him back at the club I cover.
Unfortunately, despite this possibility, I estimate that his destination after leaving Nottingham Forest will be somewhere else.
