Interpretation 📌Melbourne Youth Men s Football Team Major Changes in the Next Three Years💥

5:52pm, 15 June 2025Football

Yesterday, the Victorian Football Association issued a youth training for all Melbourne men's football team. From the development system to the competition structure, we have ushered in a comprehensive upgrade and reform. Starting from the 2026 season, this new system will enter a three-year operation 🔛 🏟️ I have extracted the key points and dry goods from the Football Association's long narrative for parents to read 🏟️ The NPL system that Victoria has been operating for many years has come to an end. Instead, it will be replaced by a new three-tier league system, namely the Youth Super League Level 1 (16 clubs in Victoria), the Youth Super League Level 2 (16 clubs in Victoria), and the State League Level 1 (10 clubs in the Southeast and Northwest), with a total of 52 clubs. 🏟️ Previously, 47 clubs in Victoria's Youth Men's Football Team had NPL License (license), and now there are 5 more clubs, which means that 52 clubs will participate in three levels of leagues. Among them, the 5 newly obtained licenses can only start from the third-level state league 1. 🏟️ The league system adopts a promotion and relegation system, with the top 2 being upgraded and the last 2 being relegated. Regarding how each club is classified, it is completely based on the total scores of each team in the 2025 season and sorted by points, which means that the top 16 Victorians enter the first-tier league, and so on; the last two in the third level (one in the southeast and northwest areas will leave this competition system after being relegated and leave the quota for newly upgraded clubs) 🏟️ The new league system is included in 5 age groups: U13, 14, 15, 16, 18. I have been playing the eleventh system since U13, but the Football Association recommends that U13 reduce the field and set the goal between the two penalty areas 🏟️ My summary of this: There are undoubtedly many positive effects. For example, U13 was a nine-a-side system before, and many 13-year-old teams, including our club, participated in U14A games, playing first-class community leagues second only to the NPL; and many clubs who are really participating in the U13 nine-a-side league are sent by 12-year-old teams, including many cup tournaments. Our club also uses 12-year-old teams to participate in U13 competitions, and everyone has different ages. At the same time, it also affects the age division of players in the U14A community league; I have always been very opposed to teams of different ages playing together, which is not helpful for both sides to improve. 🏟️ Secondly, the new Policy will lead to the resources of outstanding players and coaches squeezing into the Top 16 clubs, resulting in more concentrated resources; after the reform, the demand for high-level coaches will be greater. If the women's football field does not introduce new measures as soon as possible to complete the upgrade of itself, then excellent women's football coaches will also move to the men's football team🌊 🏟️ In the past, everyone did not pay attention to the U13 men's football team, but now everything is different. The age at the beginning of the eleven-a-side game is completely in line with Europe. Young players before U12 must quickly complete their understanding and application of nine-a-side and small-scene games, including the consolidation of technology~
