Official: Bournemouth signs Rennes 24-year-old left-back Truffert, signs for 5 years

June 16, Bournemouth official news, the club signed Rennes left-back Truffert, and the two sides signed a contract for 5 years.

Truvert, 23, has been Rennes' main player since he made his first team debut in 2020. Previously, he played for Rennes B for two years and won the French U17 and U19 championships with the team in his youth.

Truffert was appointed captain of Rennes last year and completed his personal 150th Ligue 1 appearance against Marseille in May this year. He has also played for French national teams at all levels (from U18 to adult national teams) and won silver medals with the team at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

After completing Truffert's signing, Thiago Pinto, President of Football Operations at Bournemouth, said: "We are very happy to have introduced such an excellent player early in the transfer window. Truffert is a player we have been paying attention to for a long time. Although he is only 23 years old, he has brought a wealth of experience to the team.
