ESPN: Tottenham signs Eze close to 60 million pounds, Eze informs Crystal Palace is willing to join Tottenham

August 20 ESPN reported that Tottenham Hotspur is close to signing Crystal Palace midfielder Eze for £60 million.

According to ESPN, Tottenham is becoming more and more confident to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Eze for at least £60 million. Last week, ESPN reported that Tottenham is considering introducing the 27-year-old, who currently has two years to contract with Crystal Palace.

Eze's contract had a termination clause worth £68 million, which expired earlier this month. Tottenham now hopes to reach a deal on a slightly lower price and has increased interest in him.

Arsenal has long been paying attention to Eze, but their pursuit depends largely on Nvanelli's contract. The young player has recently signed a five-year contract extension. Therefore, Arsenal needs to sell some players first to continue chasing Eze. They have already spent about £200 million in this transfer window, and their decision to improve Trosad's contract conditions (but not extending the contract term), suggesting that their interest in Eze has diminished.

In any case, Tottenham is currently ahead of North London's competitors and is in a good position to sign Eze. Eze played 84 minutes against Chelsea on Saturday and scored a brilliant free kick in the first half, but was judged invalid by VAR. After the game, Crystal Palace coach Oliver Grana said Eze may participate in the UEFA United play-off against Fredericksta on Thursday.

Grana: "He will come to the training base at Crystal Palace on Monday for recovery, we will give him a day off on Tuesday, we will meet on Wednesday, I expect him to come back and compete in the Europa League.
