Chelsea is willing to sell the team s forward for £80 million

6:00pm, 6 August 2025Football

Chelsea is planning to sell forward Nicholas Jackson before the summer transfer window is closed.

According to talkSPORT, Chelsea has recommended Jackson to three clubs, Newcastle, Manchester United and AC Milan, but no agreement has been reached yet. To speed up the trading process, the London team has lowered its player price from the initial £100 million to £80 million, hoping to find a new next home for it.

However, Newcastle and Manchester United's current signing priority is Leipzig Red Bull striker Benjamin Sheshko, not Jackson. If the pursuit of Sheshko fails, Manchester United is rumored to be more likely to turn to Juventus's Dusan Vlahovic rather than go back and sign Jackson.

Jackson's future at Stamford Bridge has become uncertain mainly due to the team's signing moves this summer. With Joao Pedro and Liam Delapp joining, the competition for the front line has further intensified. In addition, new coach Enzo Maresca hopes to completely transform the offensive system, which also puts the 24-year-old Senegal international at risk of leaving the team.

Although Jackson has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances since joining Villarreal in 2023, and was once regarded as the team's forward core last season, his position is no longer solid now.

It is worth noting that Chelsea announced the 31-man roster for the 2025/26 season on August 4, including all new players this summer, and Jackson is also on the list. However, the club said that as long as he receives a suitable offer, he may still leave the team before the transfer window is closed.
