June 3 According to CBSSports, senior officials of the Saudi government have intervened in Ronaldo's contract renewal and promised that Riyadh will receive huge grants for recruitment.
Senior Saudi government officials and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) are in negotiations with Ronaldo for renewal, and reports from multiple parties show that they are still optimistic about staying in the team.
According to people familiar with the matter, Ronaldo has promised Ronaldo during the negotiations that the victory of Riyadh will receive huge central financial support for signings. The potential targets include Leo and Louis Dias and other strong wingers. It is also planned to introduce world-class central defenders, including Hanzko, Bastoni and Rudiger.
PIF even proposed that Ronaldo join Riyadh Crescent on a temporary loan to participate in the Club World Cup.
It is reported that the proposal is a short-term loan plan. Ronaldo must first renew his contract with Riyadh first and return to the team before the league restarts in August. The player himself is cautious about the operation of this potentially undermining his reputation among fans.
It is not ruled out that Ronaldo will sign other clubs in a short period of time during the Club World Cup (the four Brazilian clubs have expressed their interest), and will evaluate their whereabouts after the event is over, and even return to the Saudi league.
