The Cavaliers firmly believe that the team is ready and have the ability to win the championship in the new season

According to Cavaliers Chris Fedor, the Cavaliers are welcomed with full confidence in the 2025-26 season. The Cavaliers believe that the team has the lineup configuration, chemistry and experience reserves needed to hit the championship.

Fedor said: "Atkinson is confident, and the team generally believes that the Cavaliers are ready to fight the championship. They do believe that they have learned what they need. Of course, everything needs to be proven on the court, but they firmly believe that they have learned from their latest playoffs out."

The Cavaliers, who have Mitchell, Garland, Mobley and Allen, ranked first in the league last season with a record of 64 wins and 18 losses. They averaged 9.5 points per game (second in the league) and entered the playoffs as one of the favorites to win the championship in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, after sweeping the Heat in the first round, the Cavaliers lost to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, winning only one of five games.

Looking forward to next season, the Cavaliers face tremendous pressure to make substantial breakthroughs in the playoffs. Fortunately, they will add several new players to keep the core roster: Lonzo Ball and Larry Nance Jr.

For the Cavaliers, the biggest benefit next season is that the strength of most competitors has declined. The Celtics are expected to have a declining season, with Tatum likely missing most of the regular season. The Pacers also suffered a blow, with starting center Miles Turner leaving the team a few weeks after their star point guard Halliburton ripped his right Achilles tendon. The only real rival in the East is the Knicks, who replaced head coach Thibodeau with Mike Brown, and may go through a period of adaptation.
