The Sun exclusive: Wrexham wants to sign Captain Xie United at a low price, central defender Jack Robinson

Hupu August 10th, according to an exclusive report by famous Sun reporter Alan Nixon, Wrexham still hopes to sign Jack Robinson from Sheffield United to advance their path to upgrade.

The 31-year-old defender is eager to join, and the Welsh club is looking for a good deal.

Robinson can play left-back or centre-back, which would be a huge addition to Phil Parkinson's team as Wrexham lost 1-2 to Southampton in the opener.

Last week, negotiations made progress until Sheffield United sold Anel Ahmed Hoddic to Feyenoord, but Wrexham remained keen interest.

The new owner seems to have a disagreement over whether to invest in young players or loan experienced players. Since joining Big Sword from Nottingham Forest in early 2020, Robinson has made 160 appearances for Shelley, and he undoubtedly meets this requirement.

He began his career in Liverpool's youth training system. In 2010, he made his debut at the age of 16 and briefly became the youngest player in the club's first team.

Since then, he has played for Wolves, Blackpools, Queens Park Rangers and Huddersfield.
