Pacers officially announced: Johnny Carpenter will join Carlisle s coaching staff as assistant coach

August 25th, the Pacers officially announced that senior assistant coach Johnny Carpenter will officially join the coaching staff of head coach Rick Carlisle.
Carpenter worked as a player development coach and scout for the Memphis Grizzlies last season. He previously served in the University of Virginia Cavaliers coaching staff for nine years, during which he served as assistant coach, player personnel director and basketball technical assistant. During the 2014-15 season, he also served as an assistant video coordinator for the Dallas Mavericks coached by Carlisle.
At the same time, Jim Boylen will join the sideline coaching team with Lloyd Pierce and Jenny Buczek to serve as assistant coach.
