Rockets plan revealed: September 29 Media Day Durant may debut on 37th birthday for the first time

On August 7, the Rockets' Media Day plan for the new season was exposed. According to Rockets reporters, the Rockets will hold a Media Day on Durant's 37th birthday night, when Durant may officially debut on the Rockets with the No. 7 for the first time.

According to Rockets reporter Ben DuBose, the team will hold a new season media day on September 29 local time, which is Durant's 37th birthday. The

training camp is expected to start the next day, September 30, with the first preseason game scheduled to be held on October 6; the regular season opener may be held as early as October 21, and the full schedule will be announced by the league office later this month (both local time in the United States).

Durant joined the Rockets in July. The NBA Labor Agreement did not require players to be interviewed by the media during the offseason, so Durant has not met with a reporter in Houston. Although it is still possible to hold a press conference in advance, no events have been arranged yet and there are no clear signs that Durant will appear in Houston during the offseason.

NBA players usually travel or get together with family and friends a few weeks before training camp.

Rockets new player Finney Smith recently mentioned that the team will hold an informal mini training camp in September, which may further tighten this year's schedule. Media Days usually include interviews with key players, coaches and executives of each NBA team who will be asked about their opinions on the new season. Given that Durant's Media Day interview will undoubtedly involve his situation with the new team, he may choose to wait until then (Media Day).

This offseason, Durant was sent to the Rockets by the Suns in a seven-party deal. Durant will wear the Rockets 7 and start a new chapter in his career. Judging from the latest reports, Durant may wait until Media Day to officially debut in the Rockets.

What results can Durant lead the new Rockets in the new season? Let's wait and see.
