Even if the contract expires, why do you say that the Lakers cannot give up Hachimura easily? Three points are the main reasons

This summer, Hachimura Shizuo and the Lakers have 18 million yuan left in one year. Whether Pelinka will renew her contract in advance is only necessary, but at least don’t give up on the former easily. This is reflected in two aspects:
offensive end
playoffs, Hachimura made 57 shots and a real shooting rate of 63.4%. Considering that the sample is not large, I will not go into details here. When it comes to explaining the true shooting rate is the first in the Lakers in the same period. In the regular season, Hachimura Hirasu made 574 shots, of which 260 were from receiving and shooting rate of 43.1%.
For comparison:
1, Durant received 352 shots, with a shooting rate of 47.7%;
2, DeRozan received 270 shots, with a shooting rate of 37.0%;
3, Wiggins received 244 shots, with a shooting rate of 39.3%;
4, Kuzma received 231 shots, with a shooting rate of 31.6%. According to the comparison data, Hachimura has the ability to be without the ball at the same level as the elite. It has good compatibility on the offensive end.
As shown in the figure below, among the 10-on-5-man team with the highest offensive efficiency of the Lakers during the same period, we found Hachimura Shizuo in five of them. It is worth mentioning that the Lakers can score 124.9 points in 108 minutes with James, Finney Smith, Doncic, Hachimura and Reeves present.
Defensive end
Due to the slow movement speed, Hachimura on the defensive end is more swaying upwards to fight against the leader and defending the inside. In terms of data, 235 of the 680 interference opponents' shots came from less than 6 feet, limiting the opponent's shooting rate from 63.0% to 57.3%, a decrease of 5.7.
As a comparison:
1. Aaron Gordon interfered with his opponent's shooting 217 times, and his opponent's shooting rate increased from 62.6% to 65.4%;
2. Scott Barnes interfered with his opponent's shooting 390 times, and his opponent's shooting rate decreased from 62.8% to 56.2%;
3. Anunobi interfered with his opponent's shooting 306 times, and his opponent's shooting rate decreased from 62.7% to 62.1%. According to the comparison data, Hachimura has a relatively good basket protection effect in the short and strong forward line.
1, 22-23 seasons interfere with opponents' shooting 4.1 times per game;
2, 23-24 seasons value is 4.9;
3, 24-25 seasons value is 5.8. According to the comparison data, Hachimura's defensive enthusiasm has been significantly improved. The defensive end is no longer a side effect - in the regular season, when Hachimura Shizuo was on the court, the Lakers lost 110.9 points in a hundred rounds, and when they were not on the court, the team lost 114.4 points in a hundred rounds.
Take Caruso and Okafor as examples. I think whether the defense is good or not has a lot to do with enthusiasm, in addition to physical conditions.
Is Caruso's physical condition good?
can only be said to be just a fair match, but this does not prevent him from becoming a top defender. It's very important that 413 interfering shots are second only to Derek White and Dyson Daniels in the same position.
On the other hand, Okafor has a top figure in the No. 5 position but has poor defensive enthusiasm. Taking the best-performing rookie season as an example, 275 interferences with opponents' shooting were not even as many as most guards. To a large extent, defensive laziness is the main reason why he faded out of the NBA too early.
In summary, the Lakers cannot easily trade Hachimura, which is mainly reflected in the following three points:
1. Elite-level off-ball ability;
2. Relatively good basket protection ability at the same position;
3. Expired contract.
Relatively speaking, I think the first point is the main reason.
First of all, whether it is Doncic or James, they all end up with the inside. Hachimura Shizuo can play a role in opening up space with excellent recruitment ability. In fact, Doncic and James' shooting percentages increased by 2.6 and 2.1 percentage points respectively when they were on the court.
Secondly, unlike pure offensive and defensive players like Clarkson and Taylor Sheero, Hachimura also has the ability to protect the local (race). The key moment will not become the opponent's main breakthrough point.
Based on both offense and defense, plus the expiration contract, the transaction value of Hachimura is relatively not low to a large extent. I mean, it’s okay to switch to Vucevic and Capela, which are not very helpful to the Lakers, but it’s still very difficult to replace Clarkston and Kessler.
Based on this, what I want to express is that Pelinka should not trade for the sake of trading - it is OK to leave Hachimura, but at least it is to exchange for a Clarkston-level center, otherwise the former will still be kept.
After all, Hachimura's unball and basket protection are also what the Lakers need at this stage. To take a step back, the subsequent operation under the expiration contract is also very flexible.
