The Thunder will not only face the Nuggets at home. The Oklahoma City Thunder will welcome Russell Westbrook of the Denver Nuggets, for the first time in his playoff career.

Russell Westbrook is an experienced NBA playoff veteran. In the early 2010s, the Oklahoma City Thunder gave him the first experience of the playoffs.

Now, he is leading the Denver Nuggets to the semifinals. Just waiting for the arrival of this NBA All-Star regular? This is his first playoff team.

Westbrook will now head to Paycom Center to play the villain. He is going to end the Thunder season. He has received support from Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Christian Braun and interim head coach David Adelman. He will also face MVP candidate Shea Gilgers-Alexander, who is now a star in the team's defender position.

Westbrook left the Thunder in 2019 and ended his 12-season journey, which attracted widespread attention. Does this mean he returns with a resentment and revenge mentality?

Russell Westbrook made a bold statement before the semi-finals against the Thunder, so many years have passed, and Westbrook still loves Oklahoma City, as he shared through Denver Sports' 1043 AM channel after his seventh victory.

"I always loved everyone there," Westbrook said. "The people there, fans, this love is mutual. But they also know that they love me because I compete at a high level. I do it every night."

Westbrook did not give up, and he revealed his plans to return to Oklahoma City.

"The only thing I can do is go all out and fight. Try to steal," Westbrook said.

Westbrook will go all out and will likely show a side that he has never shown in his brilliant career. Denver has seen Westbrook dunk in a straightforward way—including hanging on the rim and swearing loudly.

The veteran ended up ending the night's game with 16 points. Murray and Jokic scored as much as he did. Aaron Gordon scored Denver's highest 22 points.

Westbrook sent another message. After defeating the Los Angeles Clippers, it turned into a "Thunder, here we come" declaration. Now, he will walk into the stadium with cheers and boos on Monday.
