July 14th, today, the Grizzlies officially announced a re-sign with forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. and completed a multi-year contract renewal ahead of schedule. Due to team policies, the relevant contract details have not been announced.
According to previous reports, the new contract reached between the Grizzlies and Jaren Jackson Jr. is a five-year max contract of $240 million, and the last year is the player option. In the regular season of the 2024-25 season, Jaren Jackson Jr. played 74 games, averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
On July 3, the Grizzlies announced that Jaren Jackson Jr. had an injury to his toe while playing jungle ball and needed repair surgery, with a recovery period of 3-5 months.
