World: Lukeman wants to go to Inter Milan, Atlanta wants to sell it to Atletico Madrid for 50 million euros

July 23, World Sports reported that Lukeman became Atletico Madrid's first choice target to enhance the team's offensive ability in the 2025/26 season.

The Nigerian winger attracted Diego Simeone's attention with his excellent dribbling and breakthrough ability, and is considered a key player to improve the team's attack power. However, Atletico Madrid faces multiple obstacles.

First, Atlanta's asking price for Lukeman is as high as 50 million euros, which is beyond Atletico Madrid's budget. Atletico Madrid even considers including Samu Lino in the deal to reduce transfer fees.

Secondly, Inter Milan also showed a strong interest in Lukeman. Head coach Zivo believes that he is an ideal recruitment target, and the club's senior management also hopes to satisfy the coach's wishes.

For Lukeman, moving from Bergamo to Milan is obviously more attractive than traveling to Spain. He was very satisfied with life in Italy, and although Atletico Madrid was one of his ideal choices after leaving Serie A, Inter's intervention changed the situation.

Atlanta tends to sell Lukeman to the highest bidder, but if they have to choose, they prefer to sell it to Atletico Madrid to avoid strengthening the strength of their direct competitors.

However, in the Champions League, Lukeman still has the possibility of playing against either of these two teams. At present, although Atlanta hopes that Lukeman will join Atletico Madrid, he himself prefers to join Inter Milan. As Atletico Madrid, which was also optimistic about the deal last week, has now had to start looking for alternatives such as Lille's Mattias Fernandez Paldo.
