In the quarter-finals of the U17 World Cup, the European powerhouse Italy U17 team faced the Central Asian powerhouse Uzbekistan U17 team.

In the group stage, the Italian team won 3 games, defeating Qatar, Bolivia, and South Africa. In the quarter-finals, the Italian team defeated the Czech team, winning 4 games in 4 games and scoring 10 goals without conceding a goal.
