June 10th Bayern announced the Club World Cup roster today, and the 31-year-old England central defender Dell, whose contract is about to expire, was not selected.
Dell has signed a three-year contract with Monaco. It is reported that he hopes to make the most of the holiday and is unwilling to play in the Club World Cup. The announcement of Bayern's latest roster also proves this, which also means that Dell has completed the farewell battle between Bayern.
The 31-year-old England central defender spent only 3.5 million euros on loan fees for Bayern and then joined without a visa. He played 48 games for Bayern in a year and a half, contributing 3 goals and 1 assist. Bayern had been reluctant to send Dell a contract renewal before. By the time they changed their minds and were willing to renew the contract, Dell had already received a better contract offer from Monaco.
