June 27, The Record reported that due to Porto's poor performance in the Club World Cup, extreme fans of the club protested fiercely.
Porto returned from the United States after ending his Club World Cup journey and landed at 23:33 this Tuesday at Francesco Sacanaero Airport. Unlike this season's practice, the team did not leave the airport through the normal arrival channel, but chose a VIP channel isolated from the public area.
Under the security deployment of the public safety police, about fifty Porto fans dressed in black clothes gathered outside the VIP area. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the club's performance in the Club World Cup through protest slogans, booing and insults, and pointed the finger at Chairman Boas and demanded his resignation, as well as coach Anselmi and all the players.
When the team bus was about to leave, the protesters blocked the vehicle and forced the road to stop. After the PSP police fired rubber bullets to disperse the crowd, the bus finally drove away amidst constant protests and sporadic firecrackers.
