Neville: If Manchester United wins the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League, it will be a huge victory in this difficult season

On May 16, Manchester United legend Neville accepted an exclusive interview with the Telegraph and talked about his current career and Manchester United.

When Manchester United Youth Cup won the 1992 FA Manchester United teammate George Switzer gave him the nickname "buzzing" because he was always busy. Now, as the business and media map continues to expand, Neville's life is busier: get up at 5 a.m., exercise at 6 a.m., send your children to school at 7 a.m., and start the day's work at 8 a.m.

Neville said: "I will do everything I can to make my career successful, and my schedule is full every minute from Monday to Friday. When is it time to take a break? My weekends are just watching football, watching Salford City games on Saturday, and watching Sky TV live on Sunday. Although I have to drive between meetings and games frequently, these two days are my rest days for me."

Neville rarely relaxed even when he was a young player: "In my football career, I had to keep a low profile, on the one hand I didn't want to distract myself, on the other hand I played under a coach (Ferguson) who didn't allow you to be distracted. But I always said, 'I want to invest', and my dad would ask, 'Are you sure? Are you really going to invest so much? Are you sure you want to do that?' Sometimes you need that contrast."

Recently, Neville has made some sharp criticisms of Manchester United led by Inez, but he is still cautiously optimistic about the future of the team: "Inez has taken many steps that are very different from before, but I think they have performed very strongly in areas where they can control. In football, reintegration has been the most difficult, time-consuming, and there may be some twists and turns. But we are now reaching the UEFA Cup final and if we can win the championship and qualify for the Champions League next season, it will be a huge victory in this difficult season, so the next few weeks are crucial. In addition, Amorin needs to get more support in the summer window so that we can build a new team, show progress next season and strive to make the top four."

Neville is currently expected to have more net worth over £50 million, and he has not stopped moving forward. In addition to the real estate, sports, education, media and hospitality industries, he recently joined the board of directors of Swiss watch maker Norqain and worked with multinational software company Sage. Neville said financial management is usually put to the end: “If you compare this to a player’s career, we always focus on those brilliant parts, like the moments of goals, but you have to make sure you have a great line of defense because if you concede goals frequently, you will have big trouble.”
