Manchester City is interested in Dutch midfielder demon star, Gundogan s replacement

Recently, news about Manchester City's bid for AC Milan midfielder Reindes was rumored to be rumored. According to Italian journalist Longo, after a careful investigation for half a year, Manchester City was very satisfied with the technical and tactical ability of Dutch star Reindes and plans to submit a formal offer to Milan at the end of the season.

Reindez, a popular international in the Netherlands, is 26 years old this year, an all-round midfielder, in his career. Data shows that so far this season, he has played 52 games for AC Milan and won 51 starts. In addition to excellent interception and steals in the middle and backcourt, he has also contributed 15 goals and 4 assists to the team. It can be said that it is both offensive and defensive. Judging from the technical characteristics, Reindes is a bit like Manchester City's meritorious veteran Gundogan. Manchester City bought him, undoubtedly found a good replacement for Gundogan.

Manchester City coach Guardiola appreciates Reindez's frontcourt propulsion ability and key pass efficiency, and firmly believes that his tactical characteristics can be seamlessly integrated into Manchester City's tactical system. Guardiola has always emphasized midfielders' control over the rhythm of the game, accurate passes and excellent off-ball running, and Reindez can just meet Guardiola's requirements, so Manchester City is ready to move against Reindez.

However, this transfer deal faces many difficulties. Milan's valuation of Reindez is as high as 70 million euros, which is far beyond Manchester City's expectations. In the eyes of Manchester City's senior management, it's a bit like a lion's mouth. Although Manchester City is not short of money, they don’t want to be such a “subjugator”.

From the player's personal perspective, although Reindez maintains professional respect for Guardiola's invitation, he has just completed a contract renewal with AC Milan. This move undoubtedly shows that he is more inclined to stay in Milan at least at this stage to continue to develop. As we all know, in AC Milan, Reindez gradually grew into a key figure in the team. He gained trust and stable play opportunities here, and established a good relationship with his teammates and coaches. So, from the bottom of my heart, Reindez has no strong intention to go to Manchester City. As a Premier League giant, Manchester City has strong financial resources, but never acts as a "snatcher" in the transfer market. Therefore, this transfer transaction may end because of AC Milan's sky-high price. What's more, in addition to Reindes, Manchester City is also negotiating with Tonali. Tonali is not only capable of being strong in personal abilities, but also has a higher cost-effectiveness. Therefore, it is not ruled out that Manchester City will give up Reindes and turn to buy Tonali.
