Inter Milan speeds up signings, Parma striker Bonnie becomes prey

Ball Push Network, May 30th, "Milan Sports" disclosed the latest updates in Inter Milan's summer window. After finalizing Enrique and Susic, the Nerazzurri is aiming at Parma striker Bonnie, trying to complete the final puzzle of "Youth Storm" before the "Football World Cup Special Transfer Window" (June 1-10th) to fill the gap in the forward line after Arnautovic and Correa left the team.

21-year-old Bonnie showed his "all-round forward" traits in Ligue 1 this season: 16 goals and 8 assists in 34 games, and he can not only play the single arrow and get the ball back (5.2 successful matches per game, third in the same position as Ligue 1), but also pull the side and support (2.1 key passes per game). His "balanced left and right feet + high-altitude top" (25% of head goals) is regarded as "Laotaro's ideal partner". Data shows that his "expected goal value" (xG, 15.8) is highly consistent with the actual goal, proving that he is not a "lucky shooter". The diligent running position with "average retracement depth of 32 meters" is more in line with the tactical requirements of Xiao Inzaji's "high pressure pressing".

Inter Milan's sense of urgency comes from personnel gaps: among the existing front lines, the 34-year-old Taremi has only one year left in the contract. Tulam's "happy football" attribute (missed 28 excellent opportunities in the past three seasons) has hidden dangers, and only Lautaro is the "stable output point" (38 goals last season). Introducing Bonnie not only eases the “age structure aging”, but its “20 million euro valuation” (lower than the 25 million Premier League teams’ expectations) also meets the FFP restrictions – after all, the 45 million euros of revenue sold by Brozovic should be given priority to balance accounts.

Competitive pressure comes from the Premier League: Arsenal and Villa both sent ball scouts to inspect their final Ligue 1 game (Bonnie scored twice to help Parma relegation), while the player agent team is operating the "Abroad Negotiation". Inter Milan's advantage lies in its "plug and play" commitment - if the signing is completed before the Club World Cup (the final on July 12), Bonnie can directly enter the roster, and Premier League teams are affected by the "labor certificate approval" and need to wait until August to register as soon as possible.

Technical level, the "complementarity" between Bonnie and Lautaro is expected: the "fulcrum" of the former can liberate the latter's "back row insertion" (Laotaro scored 62% of the goals last season came from the penalty area), and the division of labor between the two in "setting ball tactics" (Bonnie's success rate of top-scoring 68%, Lautaro 42%) may become a new weapon for Inter Milan to "break intensive defense". As the Turin Sports Daily simulated lineup: "When Bonnie disconnects the ball from outside the penalty area and divides the side, Lautaro's anti-offside insertion will become a nightmare for the opponent's central defender."

As the transfer window opens and enters the countdown, Inter Milan's management has sent its chief scout to Parma, trying to lock in the target with a quotation of "18 million euros down payment + 5 million floating". If the transaction is completed, this will be another classic investment of the Nerazzurri's "low-age and high-spending" after the introduction of Lautaro (25 million euros) in 2019 - after all, in this era of "million-yuan striker walking all over the ground", being able to win the 21-year-old star who "average 0.7 goals per game" at a price of 20 million is a victory in itself.
