Barcelona executives: Thanks to the mediation of key middlemen, Nike sponsorship fee has increased significantly to 122 million euros

Nike has been a partner of Barcelona since 1998. Masip revealed: "The initial sponsorship contract provided by Nike was 66 million euros per year, but after mediation by the middleman Darren Daiyin, it became 122 million euros per season."

Masip further explained: "We were told that if we signed with Nike, we would get a 1:1 jersey sales share ratio. But Laporta rejected this proposal because he hoped that Barcelona would become the club with the highest jersey sponsorship fees in the world. He knew that Real Madrid can currently obtain 90-95 million euros per year from Adidas."

Masip continued: "Barcelona's previous jersey sponsorship contract was signed during the Bartomeu period. The annual sponsorship fee is 40 million euros, but due to the unfavorable bonus terms, it is actually only 33 million euros. The new contract was originally 66 million euros, but through the intervention of Darren Dayin, it finally reached 122 million euros. "

Masip emphasized: "Nike has worked with us since the last century, but they are unwilling to sponsor more than 66 million euros, and there are unfavorable bonus terms. Laporta is unwilling to accept this contract. Darren Dayin broke the deadlock, and Spotify behind him is a member of the Nike board of directors. The final sponsorship fee increased from 66 million euros to 122 million euros, and the gentleman's matchmaking work was very successful. "
