October 11th Alba was interviewed recently. He talked about his experience of working with Messi.
Alba has decided to retire at the end of this season. He said that what makes him most proud in his career is being able to play alongside Messi, the best player in history. He regrets that this fate could not continue, but he is deeply happy for the countless moments created together. Those tacit assists and goals still continue to this day.
Alba said: "The first assist for him was when we defeated Osasuna in an away game. From then on, we established an excellent tacit understanding, and that timing is still in effect today. I am extremely happy to be so connected to the best player in history. I gave him many assists, and most of my goals came from his gifts. This long period of time makes me proud and allows me to enjoy football to the fullest."
When talking about his decision to retire again, Alba reiterated that he has gone through Thoughtful consideration: "Rather than forcing myself in a situation where I can't give my all, it's better to quit the game at the right time and quit bravely. I have other plans brewing in my mind, and I always miss Barcelona. During my time in Miami, I always gave my best and will continue to do so until the end of the season. Although I have a contract, I don't want to perform it mechanically. I could have stayed with the team until 2027. However, for me personally, following my inner feelings is the right way. When this kind of moment comes, the best solution is to let go calmly."
