Colombia winger Louis Diaz reportedly told Liverpool that he intends to leave the club this summer. According to German journalist Florian Pretenberg on X, the 28-year-old is eager to leave Arne Slott's team in the summer.
Plettenberg insists that Diaz is eager to join the German giant Bayern. Bayern coach Kompany has reportedly approved the signing of the 28-year-old, although there has been no comprehensive agreement between Bayern and Diaz.
However, according to Pretenberg, personal terms should not be a problem, but Bayern first needs to agree with Liverpool on the transfer fee. If Bayern cannot get the former Porto star, Barcelona will be another option for Diaz, and Barcelona is also interested in him.
Frick's team has been linked with Diaz for a while, but their financial situation has brought great challenges. Even if they sign this fast attacker, signing him is also a major task for Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's offer of £58.6 million for Diaz was rejected by Arn Slot. According to BBC Sports, the Premier League champion's estimate of him is about £87 million.
Diaz has been an important player for Liverpool since joining Liverpool from Porto in 2022. The Reds signed the Colombian for an additional cost of £49 million.
So far, the winger has made 148 appearances for the club, scored 41 goals and provided 23 assists. He performed well last season under Arne Slott, 50 appearances and contributed 17 goals and 8 assists.
Florian Werz's father described in detail how Arn Slott convinced the German star to join Liverpool's
Florian Werz's father Hans Joachim Werz's father confessed the role Arn Slott played in convincing his son to join Liverpool. The Red Devils signed a statement in the form of Wiltz, who reportedly moved from Leverkusen for £116 million.
Hans-Joachim Wilz insisted that Slott gave a great influence on him by detailing his philosophy and how his son would fit into it. He said through BILD:
"He found England's game interesting because it features speed and vitality. Arn Slott introduced his philosophy of playing, the team's tactics in possession and pressing, and how Florian played his strengths in these aspects. This left a decisive impression on Florian. Liverpool's training conditions were also impressive."
Wilz is likely to join Bayern Munich this summer, and Manchester City is also reported as his admirer. However, Liverpool, who were beyond everyone's expectations, brought one of the best young players on the planet to Anfield.
The 22-year-old made his mark in Leverkusen after joining the Bundesliga team from rival Cologne in 2020. He made 197 appearances for Leverkusen, scored 57 goals and sent 65 assists, helping the team complete the domestic triple championship in the 2023-24 season.
