Thick eyebrows retired due to non-confrontational injuries, and his left leg is suspected to have suffered an Achilles tendon-related injury

The Dallas Mavericks officially announced that Davis, the team's core striker, left the game early in the first quarter due to left calf soreness in Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers.

The Mavericks confirmed during halftime that Davis would not return for this game.

Davis found it a little difficult to move after scoring once, and immediately signaled to the bench that a substitution was needed. When the Mavericks called a timeout with 4 minutes and 12 seconds left in the first quarter, he squatted on the sidelines for a few seconds and then went to the locker room for further examination. Judging from the location of Davis' body, the problem appears to be in the Achilles tendon.

In the injury report before this game, Davis was originally listed as having a high probability of playing due to bilateral Achilles tendonitis.

The 32-year-old Davis came to Dallas as a core bargaining chip in last year's controversial Doncic trade, but he only played 9 regular season games for the Mavericks last season.

Davis was recovering from a groin injury when the deal was reached, and suffered an adductor strain in his Mavericks debut, which caused him to miss the next six weeks.

In addition to Davis, the Mavericks also have three main rotation players missing in this campaign. Star guard Irving's return date has not been determined since he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in March; center Gafford has yet to appear this season because he sprained his ankle on the first day of training camp; center Lively II was exempted from the game for the second consecutive game due to a knee sprain.
