Lakers Brownie James breaks silence in response to LeBron trade rumors

5:45pm, 3 July 2025Basketball

Brownny James responded to LeBron James' trade rumors after the Lakers' summer league training ended on Wednesday. Will the Los Angeles Lakers trade LeBron James? Rumors have been on the topic over the past few weeks. Fans are curious about which team James will end his NBA career. LeBron's son Brownie talked about the matter through ESPN's Dave McMenaming in an interview with reporters after the NBA summer league training ended.

Brownny said a friend of his phone call him and asked him what he planned to do in the rumor of LeBron. Brownie said he told his friend: "'I don't know what you're talking about.'"

"I don't pay much attention to this," Brownie added. "There are a lot of things around me that I didn't pay attention to... We didn't actually talk much. I think when this kind of thing really happens, he just told me not to worry, or even to pay attention. 'Focus on what you're doing now'... I think it's a good thing that he told me not to pay attention to those things."

Browny focused on improving his basketball skills. LeBron doesn't want to let his son get distracted by rumors about his NBA future.

Rumors about LeBron James may continue, but the Lakers star seems likely to stay in Los Angeles.

It is expected that at some point Los Angeles will fully embrace Luca Doncic's new era and make him the team's superstar. But this will not really start until LeBron transfers or retires. James still maintains a high level of play and is expected to play in the league for at least one more season.

If James is not traded and eventually joins the Lakers again, perhaps Luca Lucas and LeBron James can lead the team further in the playoffs. Maybe Brownie James can help
