Doncic: I always look up to James and it is a privilege to work with him

July 30th, in the regular season of the New York Yankees vs. the Tampa Bay Rays, Doncic attended as a guest. During the interview, he talked about his experience of playing with LeBron James.

Doncic has admired LeBron since he was a child. He said that fighting side by side with the legendary star last season was an incredible experience. He said: "It was a wonderful experience. I have always looked up to him. Both his attitude towards the game and his professionalism have affected me. When I came here, he welcomed me with open arms. It was great to be his teammate."

Last season, Doncic and LeBron played together in 23 games, and the Lakers achieved a record of 15 wins and 8 losses. The Lakers lost to the Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.

Doncic is reportedly about to renew his contract with the Lakers, and LeBron has chosen to execute the $52.6 million 2025-26 player option.
