Curry: I know there are many young people in the league, but we are still the team that can compete for the championship

Reporter: Stephen, your age is always discussed as a topic. What makes you confident that you, Draymond and Jimmy are the right core of this team’s future?

Curry: I think, looking at the past two months, even the series that played in Houston, we have been very focused on our goals. We have enough strength to complete it and reach a very high basketball level.

Does this mean we can win the championship? We hope so. But that's really all you expect: have a chance to fight.

You look at the entire league now - I know there are a lot of young people rising - but we are still one of the last eight teams that really have a chance to compete for the championship. If I can keep this team and make some minor adjustments that can improve the entire lineup... Obviously, I can play a full 82 regular season games by myself. As I said, don't let myself fall into a catching up situation.

But I feel we have proven that we have the ability to be that strong team. That's what you really want.
