On July 27, according to famous reporter Keith Smith, the Rockets signed JD-Davidson and Isaiah Crawford using a two-way contract, so the Rockets' new 14+3 lineup was released, and Durant, with an annual salary of $54.7 million, led the team to the championship.

22-year-old JD Davidson was previously cut by the Celtics. Now he has signed a one-year two-way contract with the Rockets, which is the last season for Davidson to have a two-way contract qualification; 23-year-old Isaiah Crawford also signed a two-way contract with the Rockets. The Kings previously revoked his two-way qualification offer, so he joined the Rockets as a free agent.

JD-Davidson was the second round pick in 2022. He followed the Celtics to win the first championship in his career in the 2023-24 season; last season he averaged 25.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.5 steals in the G League last season, winning the Development League MVP; he played in 3 games, averaging 34.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 13.3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.

Rockets have signed the Celtics' former player and the Kings' old player, so the 14+3 lineup is released -

14 regular contract players: Durant, Shinkin, Van Vleet, Adams, Finney Smith, Jabbarri Smith Jr., Shepard, Amen Thompson, Capela, Ethan, Jeff Green, Holiday, Okogie and Tate. Among them, Durant's annual salary is 54.7 million US dollars, ranking first in the team.

3 two-way contract players: JD Davidson, Crawford and Kevin Harris

This offseason, the Rockets are one of the craziest teams in the league. They not only sign Durant through a seven-party big deal, but also sign Capela, Finney Smith, and Okogie. The current Rockets' lineup is definitely one of the strongest offensive and defensive teams in the league. Looking forward to the Rockets' performance in the new season, they do have the strength to compete for the NBA championship.
