As the suspension approaches, Warriors head coach Steve Cole warned Draymond Green to remain calm after his fifth technical foul.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Cole is sending a clear message to Draymond Green. Cole spoke out in his post-match comment after Green received his fifth technical foul in the playoffs in Game 2 of the Western Conference semi-finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"He has to be careful now," Cole said bluntly. "It's part of Draymond. It's this trait that makes him so competitive and winner, and sometimes makes him perform too well. We all know that. Our job is to try to help him stay calm...but he's a little too much sometimes."
Green's fifth technical foul was made after a fierce clash with Timberwolves forward Naz Reed, which escalated to the 6-foot-6 striker who slapped Reed in the face with his elbow. The foul was called immediately, marking another series of out-of-control appearances at Greenfield. The timing couldn't be worse for the Warriors. Stephen Curry is currently out of the game with a hamstring injury, and Green's presence is more important than ever. If you commit two more technical fouls, Green will face an automatic suspension, which is crucial to the direction of the series. The Warriors have already felt the pressure. They lost to the Timberwolves in Game 2, with a huge score difference and eventually lost 93-117. Green scored nine points, five assists and four rebounds in 29 minutes, but his emotional outburst masked his contribution.
Cole's message is very clear. The team can't lose Green, especially now. After the series draws 1-1, the Warriors will return to Chase Center for their third game on Saturday, May 10, hoping to regain control of the game. But if Green's emotions get out of control again, the Warriors could face a crucial game when they lose the emotional leader.
For a player like Draymond, wandering between passion and collapse is nothing new. But given the situation is so critical, Cole's warning is undoubtedly a life-saving straw for the Warriors' playoff hopes.
