BR explains that Kobe has not entered the top 10 of history: The first three championships belong to O Neal, James Curry completes his overcoming

On July 16, the NBA entered the offseason. The famous media Bleacher Report announced the new NBA top 100 stars selected, among which Lakers' legend Kobe Kobe failed to enter the top 10, which caused controversy. In response to this, Bleacher Report issued a post to respond to the matter and gave their reasons.

Bleacher Report noted that he has been one of the best players in the world for most of the past two decades. But "being at the best" and "being the best" are two different things. Kobe has never led the league in terms of positive and negative values or player efficiency values. He has only won the regular season MVP once, and his career MVP contribution ranks outside the top ten. For most of his career, Kobe has not worn the NBA's "Best Player Belt".

Then Bleacher Report continued to point out that O'Neal was the leader of the Lakers' three consecutive championships. Kobe was the best player at the time when he won two championships with Paul Gasol in 2008-09 and 2009-10, but in 1999-2000, 2000-01 and 2001-02, he was obviously the second place in the best player at that time, and the best player (O'Neal) ranked sixth on the list. In these three playoffs, O'Neal is far ahead of the Lakers in terms of player winning rate (cumulative value of positive and negative value), score, rebounds, blocks, playing time and positive and negative value. If Kobe hadn't started his career with O'Neal in Los Angeles, no one knows how many championships he could win now.

In addition, Bleacher Report also listed the resumes of the top 10 people in their list history and said it would be difficult for Kobe to surpass them. In addition, James and Curry are the only two active players on this list who rank above Kobe. Without them, Kobe could have entered the top ten. And although it failed to make it to the top 10, being named one of the 11 greatest players in NBA history is also an amazing achievement.
