talkSPORT: Xinyue wants to rent Kant to play the Club World Cup, but the deal may be broken due to fans emotions

June 11 talkSPORT reported that Riyadh Crescent's short-term loan deal on Kanter may have failed due to strong fans' opposition. Kanter currently plays for Saudi team Jeddah United, but as the only Saudi team to advance to the Club World Cup, New Moon is eager to bring the French midfielder.

Although Kanter has agreed to personal terms, the two clubs still need to complete final negotiations. But the fierce reaction of Saudi fans to the possible deal between their archenemy will become a key factor in whether the deal can be successful. If the deal is completed, Kanter is expected to return to Jeddah United in the 2025-26 season.

It is worth noting that both clubs are controlled by Saudi Public Investment Fund. Saudi Arabia's core decision-makers believe that Kanter's temporary transfer can enhance the popularity of the New Moon in the Club World Cup.

New Moon retains the salary budget originally prepared for Salah, with disposable funds exceeding £500 million this summer. It is reported that they even asked Leipzig forward Cesco on Monday this week, and had previously contacted many stars such as Manchester United captain B Fee and Naples forward Osmeen. Although deals between Rome's Angelino and Milan's Teo are aborted, some negotiations may restart after the Club World Cup.

It is worth mentioning that New Moon proposed a loan plan similar to Kante to Ronaldo, but considering the Riyadh derby, the Portuguese superstar is more inclined to renew his contract with Riyadh successfully. By contrast, 34-year-old Kanter is open to short-term transfers.
