July 26th Marcos Llorente followed Atletico Madrid to start pre-match preparations. In Los Angeles, he was interviewed by Cobe Radio, during which he talked about the team's recent situation.
Llorente said that during the holidays he likes to relax himself: "I use these weeks to do things that I can't do during the season. I really like golf, and I'm so happy to go out with my friends and stay away from my phone."
Speaking of the many new players the team has brought in in this transfer window, Llorente said that Atletico Madrid's goal is to compete every year. "The club has made great efforts in signings, and we all have to compete at a high level and fight for all honors. Newcomers are high-quality players, and they will bring a greater boost to the team."
When asked if there are higher expectations for the team, Llorente said this should ask the fans. "We always go all out, but higher demands will drive us to do better."
Finally, regarding the transfer window's comparison with Barcelona and Real Madrid, Llorente said: "I don't know what to say. Maybe their signings are comparable to us or better."
