On June 17, the FA officially announced the results of the investigation of former referee David Coott. The investigation confirmed Kutter's insult to Klopp, but did not file a case for his gambling allegations. FA Announcement
David Coott was charged for violating the FA Rule E3 for making inappropriate remarks against Jurgen Klopp in a video recorded around July 2020, which was exposed on social media in November 2024.
The referee allegedly acted improperly and/or used abusive and/or insulting words that violated FA Rule E3.1.
further alleges that this behavior constitutes an "aggravated violation" as defined in FA Rule E3.2, as it contains references to nationality, whether express or implied.
The case was not filed after a comprehensive investigation of David Coot's alleged gambling misconduct.
In December 2024, a video was circulated on the Internet. In the video, active Premier League referee David Coot insulted Liverpool and head coach Klopp, calling Liverpool a "shit" and Klopp a "bitch".
After Kurt's video was exposed, the referee company suspended him. On December 10, 2024, the Premier League referee company announced the termination of Kurt's labor contract.
