May 3 According to British media The Argus, Brighton coach Hulzer urged fans not to leave the court early before the game ends.
In the 34th round of the Premier League, Brighton reversed West Ham United 3-2, some fans left the court early with the team behind, missing the exciting moment of the team's reversal. Fans leave early usually because of traffic, but Hulzer still hopes more fans can stick to the final whistle.
Helzelle: I don't want the fans to leave too early, we always believe that we can turn the situation around. I just hope that within 90 minutes, or until the referee blew the final whistle, we could feel the atmosphere of unity. So I'm talking to the club and trying to come up with some ideas to keep the fans on the court until the end of the game because I think it's only good. We must work hard to get the club together within 90 minutes.
Helzelle: We can influence them by acting on the court, showing them that we always have confidence in ourselves, just like we did last time. For example, I think the club has a terrace next to the stadium, providing fans with a building where they can relax after the game and when we get a big win, they can have a beer together. Or when we fail, have a depressed beer!
Helzelle: We strive to make them have reasons to stay, and we have the responsibility to make them happy and create a 90-minute atmosphere of unity. We are working hard to do this.
Will the players notice that the fans leave early when the team needs the final goal
Helzer: I don't know. I haven't discussed this with them. What I can say is that I notice this sometimes, but it is not that serious either. When I look back at the game after the game, I sometimes feel like, ‘Wow, it’s really empty here’. Overall, I understand why they left early. It's important for me to understand why they left early. There are various reasons they do this, so we have to give them a better reason to stay on the court. This is our job, this is our responsibility.
