According to Dutch media, Tenghach now prefers to coach Leverkusen rather than return to Ajax.
German sources said that Tenghach is the main candidate for Leverkusen's new coach. At the same time, Tenghach's old club Ajax also hopes that he can go back to coach. However, according to Dutch media SoccerNews, although Tenghach had a conversation with Ajax, he would rather start a new coaching career in Germany, and his contract negotiations with Leverkusen have entered the final stage.
Tenhah has been unemployed since being fired by Manchester United in October 2024. He coached Ajax from 2018 to 2022, leading the team to win three Eredivisie championships, and led the team to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
