In the just-concluded Club World Cup 2025, European clubs took more than 62% of the prize money, while South American clubs received nearly 20% of the prize money. Before this event, FIFA confirmed that the total prize money for the event was US$1 billion, of which US$525 million was given back to the participating teams, and the other US$475 million was allocated based on the team's performance.

Although the specific prizes for European clubs have not been disclosed, Sports Business Journal estimates that the prize money for the championship and runner-up of the event are around US$100 million, of which the prize money is 85 million and US$75 million respectively.

Although the teams of the MAF are not outstanding, only Miami International has qualified from the group, all three participating teams have received generous bonuses.

Miami International, which advanced to the top 16, received more than $21 million in prize money, and Messi and his teammates were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain. With a group stage draw with Flamenco, Los Angeles FC won a prize of $10.55 million. Although the Seattle Bayer lost all three games in the group stage, it also recorded at least $9.55 million.

Like the Seattle Gulf people, Mexico's Pachuca also lost all three games, winning a prize of $9.55 million, while Monterrey, who qualifies in the group, received a prize of $21 million, just like Miami International. In total, European teams took 62.2% of the total prize money, and with Fruminense's outstanding performance in the semi-finals, South American teams scored 19.1%.

Oceania's only Auckland City won the lowest prize (US$4.58 million), but it is still a huge sum for this New Zealand semi-professional club.
