October 21st, Benfica goalkeeper Trubin attended the press conference before the Champions League match against Newcastle United in Benfica’s away game. He talked about the team's preparations, his views on the match against Newcastle, competition within the team and the adaptation of new aid Sudakov.
Considering that the team has not yet scored points in this event, how does the team feel about this game? Do you guys feel any pressure to win?
Trubin: I don’t think so, but we are in the Champions League. There's always a huge responsibility and a huge pressure, but at this level you have to deal with it and give everything you have to win tomorrow.
How do you evaluate the team's defensive development? Where does the team need the most improvement?
Trubin: I think, overall, we just need time because we haven't had much time to train since the coach came, but I can see a lot of good aspects every day. All players are improving on an individual level, but also as a team. It's a long road, but we're working hard every day.
Do you think this is a decisive Champions League game? How do you deal with the competition with Soares?
Trubin: There are no easy games in the Champions League. All games are very important for us. If we talk about our rivalry, it's good for both of us and the team. Because we have to give everything every day and give 100% performance in training and games. I don't see any problem. I just have to show myself and he will do the same. This is good for the team.
Did Mourinho make different demands on your attack from the goalkeeper position?
Trubin: Every coach has his own game philosophy. So, I've seen some changes, some differences, but for me, it's good to learn new things.
What did the coach say to the team after the last game?
Trubin: We need to win this game, nothing special (laughs). (Mourinho interjected: "Nothing said")
Has Sudakov talked to you about his first few months at Benfica?
Trubin: First of all, he said that he was very satisfied because he came to the best club in Portugal and one of the best clubs in Europe. He also mentioned that the levels here are harder than before. So, he is very satisfied and wants to give everything for this club. Of course, there were times when he would ask me for help. I can help him in this regard and make his adjustment process easier.
Last:Klopp: I had no idea it was possible to spend so much money, changes at Liverpool will take time
