The Portland Trail Blazers conducted daily training during the training camp. The team's new backcourt star Shaedon Sharpe accepted an interview with reporters after the training. During the interview, he was asked more and more questions about his cooperation with Yang Hansen in the previous game against the Sacramento Kings and whether the cooperation between them can improve as the chemical reaction continues to improve.

When talking about the passing and cutting cooperation with Yang Hansen, Sharp said: Yes, Yang Hansen is a great passer, and I think I am a good finisher. Both of us can complete each other's tasks very well, so when we appear on the court together, we can establish a chemical reaction between us. I think in the next games, this kind of cooperation will become easier and more frequent. But we still have to participate in more games together and practice more together. I believe that as the chemical reaction between us improves, this kind of wonderful passing and cutting cooperation will become more and more common in the next games, and everything will get better and better.

Sharp was born in May 2003. He is 22 years old, 196cm tall and 94kg in weight. He is a high lottery pick selected by the Trail Blazers with the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft. In the NBA regular season last season, Sharp played a total of 72 times in 82 games, averaging 31.3 minutes per game. He averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game. He also had 2.1 turnovers and 1.7 fouls. He shot 45.2% from the field, 31.1% from the three-point range, and 78.5% from the free throw line.

In the second preseason game against the Kings, Yang Hansen made 5 of 8 shots, 2 of 3 from beyond the three-point line, and 4 of 4 free throws in 17 minutes and 8 seconds of playing time. He scored 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 blocks, as well as 3 turnovers and 5 fouls. In the same game, Sharp made 6 of 14 shots, 2 of 6 from beyond the three-point line, and 3 of 6 free throws in 25 minutes and 46 seconds of playing time. He scored 17 points and 6 rebounds, as well as 2 turnovers and 5 fouls, with a plus-minus of -5. Sharp is indeed a very good scorer. His scoring ability is very outstanding, his finishing ability is very good, his advantages in athletic ability are very outstanding, and he also achieved a significant improvement in statistics last season, and he also maintained a stable offensive efficiency in the two preseason games and showed quite good scoring ability. But on the other hand, Sharp's own passing ability and even his willingness to pass are not very strong, and his style of play is somewhat unique. It is not a particularly conventional tactic for the center to provide support. If Sharp wants to get more such opportunities, he himself needs to become more selfless.
