According to TMZ on October 21, Garcia, the Lakers fan who previously sued James for his "Decision 2" advertisement, has now withdrawn the lawsuit.
Garcia submitted an application to withdraw the small claims lawsuit against James to the Los Angeles District Court on Monday local time, only 12 days after he first sued for $865.66.
Garcia accused James in the complaint of "fraud, deception, misrepresentation and all other statutory liability for recovery." However, this week he revealed to the media that he received an unexpected message from the PrizePicks platform. It is said that the representative of the platform said he was aware of his experience and was willing to provide him with free Lakers tickets and peripheral merchandise as compensation. After accepting the settlement, Garcia decided not to seek compensation from James.
It is worth noting that James and his team have never publicly commented on this lawsuit.
