According to Jonathan Givony, a well-known ESPN draft reporter, previously considered a potential second-round pick contender in this year's NBA draft, Karter Knox, a freshman from the University of Arkansas, will withdraw from this year's NBA draft and return to the University of Arkansas next season.

Knox was born in May 2005 and just turned 20 years old. He is a wing player with excellent physical talent and athletic ability. According to data from the previous joint trial physical test, Knox's bare foot height is 195.6cm, his wingspan is 208.9cm, his standing height is 260.4cm, and his weight is 97.2kg. In the NCAA field this season, Knox made a total of 36 appearances, averaging 23.9 minutes, averaging 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.6 steals, and 0.5 blocks. He also had 1.1 turnovers and 1.9 fouls, shooting percentage of 46.2%, three-point shooting percentage of 35%, and free throw shooting percentage of 80.2%. Knox's performance this season is pretty good, and his tactical position in the team is relatively limited, which also leads to his data not being particularly outstanding. However, on the other hand, Knox can maintain a relatively stable level when his tactical status is not high and his playing time is limited, which is not easy.

From the perspective of characteristics, Knox is a young player with excellent physical talent and athletic ability. He performed very well in the joint trial physical test stage. His many data are among the best, and his ability in this area is indeed quite amazing. Knox has also demonstrated comprehensive personal abilities this season. He can use breakthroughs to complete scores, he also has certain shooting ability, and his contribution to the defensive end is still good. However, he has not been reused enough this season, and his data are not particularly outstanding. We don’t know if he can take on more responsibilities in the future.

Judging from the current draft market, Knox has a full chance to be selected in the second round, but it seems that considering that he is the top 30 high school student in the United States in 2024, and his physical talent and athletic ability are excellent, he has shown a certain amount of ready-to-fight ability this season. If he can continue this in the NCAA field next season, he may have a chance to make a first-round pick in next year's NBA draft. It is worth mentioning that Knox also has a special identity, he is the younger brother of Kevin Knox, a former NBA lottery pick who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors. I don’t know if he can win a higher draft pick through his performance in the NCAA arena like his brother.
