Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry responded to critics who are still questioning Jimmy Butler's deal and the team's future. Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry discusses his future with Jimmy Butler after the Golden State Warriors' fifth game ended with a 110-121 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Curry and Butler's combination ended with a hamstring injury in the first game against the Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals and never made a comeback since.

Many people speculate whether the Warriors are about to usher in major lineup changes in their twilight years in Curry's Hall of Fame career, and they are striving to set another championship record. However, the four-time champion still eager to complete the entire season in the 2025-26 season when talking about his partner with Butler, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

"There is a lot of discussion about whether the deal is correct... from the first game in Chicago to last night, we worked together," Curry said. "He and I complement each other. He gave us a lot of confidence."

In fact, Curry envisioned a two-year cooperation window for him, Butler and other members of the Warriors.

"When asked if you think it's just a two-year window, Stephen Curry said that since he, Steve Cole, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler have all been signed for two years, you just want 'this journey' to be as long as possible," Youngmisuk reported.

Butler averaged 17.9 points per game in the Warriors' 30 regular season games, shooting 47.6% from the field, and also had 5.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals. During the playoffs, his average score and rebounds soared to 19.2 points and 6.6 rebounds.

Stephen Curry sent an emergency message to the Warriors management

Warriors Chairman Joe Rakob sternly criticized fans who criticized young players, and the management hopes they will make great progress in the 2025-26 season. According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II, the Warriors evaluated young rotation players during the offseason, and Curry believes these veterans can lead the team to the NBA Finals again.

"Curry said that, normally, when a team feels close to the Finals, there is no need to make major adjustments," wrote Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic. "But he's been through enough of this and it's not a wise move to know that keeping the status quo is not a wise move. Butler's contract is consistent with Curry's contract, and they both have two seasons left."

"'On the surface, that's why he renewed his contract for two years - we believe we can succeed,' Curry said of Butler. 'We have proved that in the past three months. We just need to figure out how to get us to the next level as a whole. One person can't win, and two people can't win. It has to rely on the strength of the team.'" How the Warriors' support lineup develops is crucial to their future success.
