The three major coaching changes are different! Mourinho is okay, Ten Hag made the right change, and the championship coach has not won in seven games

In the past two days, after Sir Ratcliffe’s interview supporting Amorim was broadcast, the storm of Manchester United’s coaching change finally came to an end. The three major coaching changes in European football in the new season, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica and Nottingham Forest, have completely different results after changing coaches. In fact, changing coaches does not necessarily mean changing coaches, and there are also situations where the results get worse with each change.

Among the three teams, Leverkusen was the first to change coaches. At the end of the transfer window, Ten Hag will leave the team. From the beginning of the summer vacation, Ten Hag officially started attending classes. After the summer vacation, Ten Hag officially ended the get out of class. In just 62 days, Ten Hag only led the team to participate in three games. They successfully advanced to the German Cup with a four-goal victory. They were leading in the two Bundesliga games, losing to Hoffenheim and drawing with Werder Bremen. Considering that Leverkusen sent away many main players such as Wirtz and Frimpong this summer, and the entry and exit of many people require an adaptation period, the results of Ten Hag's team are actually not too bad.

After former Danish coach Jurmand took over, he defeated the Champions League team Eintracht Frankfurt in his first match with two less players. He won 3 in 4 Bundesliga games and drew 1, rising to fifth place in the league. He was only 3 points behind Dortmund, the second place. The Champions League was inferior. After two consecutive draws, he ranked 25th, which happened to be the first place in the elimination zone. Maybe the replacement of Ten Hag was the right one. They have remained unbeaten in at least 6 games and the situation is still ideal.

A few days later than Ten Hag, Nottingham Forest also announced a coaching change. Nuno left and Postkoglu joined. Two years ago, Nuno was appointed at a critical moment, took over midway, and successfully helped Nottingham Forest avoid relegation, which made the outside world shine. Last season, Forest continued their efforts and ranked among the top three in the Premier League for a long time. Until the last eight rounds, they only won two games and missed the Champions League qualification by 1 point. The scene where Forest boss Marinakis, known as the Greek shipping king, looked at Nuno in the middle of the pitch was still vivid.

Postkoglu actually had his shining moments. In the first 10 Premier League games he coached Tottenham, he achieved impressive results of 8 wins and 2 draws. However, he could not continue and Tottenham's results became worse and worse. After defeating Manchester United last season and winning Tottenham's first trophy in 18 years, they left with the aura of European champions.

Unfortunately, after championship coach Postkoglu came to Nottingham Forest, he had 2 draws and 5 losses in 7 games, including 1 draw and 3 losses in the Premier League. He only scored 1 point against the newly promoted Burnley. The two-goal lead in the League Cup was reversed by the English Championship team and eliminated. The Europa League had one draw and one loss. Among the 9 Premier League teams participating in European competitions, they are the only ones that cannot win.

Much later, Mourinho returned to Benfica, his first stop as a solo coach more than 20 years ago. The Portuguese Super League had 2 wins and 2 draws, including a draw with the leader Porto, which brought Porto's 7-game winning streak to an abrupt end. There was only one Champions League game. In front of his old club Chelsea, he was knocked down by an own goal made by Manchester United's discarded player Ganancho. With only 1 loss in 5 games, the league rose to third place in the league, 4 points away from the top spot. The performance was acceptable and satisfactory. At least we could win what we should win.

In the Premier League, in addition to Nottingham Forest, West Ham also changed their coaches. Nuno, who had just finished class, rushed to class and led West Ham to participate in two league games, drawing with Everton and losing to Arsenal. They are still in the relegation zone. The effect of the coaching change remains to be seen.

The coaching positions of Mourinho and Urmande do not seem to be a big problem at present. Benfica and Leverkusen are gradually passing the transition period of coaching changes. Postkoglu is different. The calls for dismissal are getting louder and louder. He has become the next popular candidate to leave the Premier League shortly after taking office. Next, the Forest team will face strong teams such as Chelsea, Porto, and Manchester United one after another. The prospect of Australia and Poland is really not optimistic.

You need to be cautious when changing coaches. The stories of several teams changing head coaches illustrate that hasty substitution may not be a good thing. Rooney also supported Postkoglu and believed that it would be a joke if Nottingham Forest changed coaches continuously. I don’t know if you have seen such a story. It may be a blessing for Rooney’s old club Manchester United to personally support Amorim for three years.
