"Snowflakes" traveling through time, Manchester United pays tribute to the glorious past in the away match of the new season

Manchester United revealed the away jersey for the new season. This is not only a new piece of equipment, but also a affectionate retracement of the club's glorious history. The core inspiration for its design comes from the classic away jersey in 1992 that fans nicknamed "Snowflake".

This is not the first revival of the "snowflake" element. In the 2015-16 seasons and 2017-18 seasons, its design concepts were learned and reproduced to varying degrees. But this time, jersey maker Adidas has chosen a bolder path to innovation. They retain the spiritual core of design, but injected it with unprecedented color language. The new jersey is based on a pure white canvas, covered with "snowflakes" dark patterns made of lilac and reconstructed by modern geometric aesthetics. A calm "Plum color" is cleverly applied to the club's devil badge, Adidas brand logo and classic shoulder three stripes, forming an elegant and novel visual effect.

"We want to reimagine one of the club's most iconic patterns in the past," said Adidas senior design director Jurgen Rank. "With an updated palette, a bold new interpretation of modern football."

For Manchester United, who has just experienced the worst Premier League season in the history of the team and welcomes new coach Ruben Amorin, the release of this jersey undoubtedly carries a special meaning. They long to return to the victory track in the new season like the predecessors in 1992 who wore the first "Snowflake" robe and won the League Cup at Wembley.

At present, this new jersey that connects the past and the future has been officially released, with the fan version and the player version being priced at 85 pounds and 120 pounds respectively.

In modern football business, replicating and innovatively reshaping the classic jersey design in the history of the club has become an important strategy to connect fans' emotions, inherit team culture and drive commercial sales.
