Without excitement, Thunder Alexander refutes reporters accusations against Andrew Nemhard

9:58am, 13 June 2025Basketball

A reporter asked Shea Gilgers-Alexander about Andrew Nemhard's situation and how he defended him in the series.

Oklahoma City Thunder failed to defeat the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 and is currently trailing 1-2 in the series. The Thunder failed to do the effect they wanted and the Pacers' defense put pressure on them. More specifically, Andrew Nemhard seems to be taking Shea Gilgers-Alexander more seriously, who has been in charge of defending him in this series.

At the media meeting, a reporter asked Shay Gilgers-Alexander about Embhard's situation and how he defended him.

"In this series, you seem to be more emotional than anyone you have ever played against this year," the reporter asked. "Did he do something special to anger you?"

Shay Gilgers-Alexander, a man who rarely expresses his emotions, answered the question as honestly as possible.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not excited at all, so I don't know what's going on," said Gilgers-Alexander. The Pacers used all the tricks against Gilgers Alexander, which might have affected his game, but no matter what happened, he always looked calm. It is not surprising that Nemhard won against Gilgers Alexander, as they have been playing for many years.

Shay Gilgers-Alexander talks about the Thunder's third loss

After the third game, Gilgers-Alexander shared what he thought the Thunder made a mistake.

"They are aggressive. Their pick-and-rolls are in place, and as the coach said, they are really more aggressive and more powerful," Gilgers-Alexander said. "First of all, I started the offense, but we have to fight back the pressure."

head coach Mark Dagenutt also shared the reasons he believes the Thunder lost.

"We started very well and performed very well in the third quarter," said Dagnott. "We controlled the first and third quarters, but the second and fourth quarters were very difficult. So we will continue to watch. While the game wasn't all bad, we absolutely had to play our own style and maintain our willpower over 48 minutes to win away." The Thunder entered the fourth quarter with an 89-84 lead, but they failed to break through the Pacers' bench early in the game. In the final stage of the game, the Thunder felt cold, while the Pacers gradually returned to form. Now, the Thunder must revisit the game and find ways to perform better later in the game.
