Valanciunas: Antetokounmpo is very capable, we are ready

In an interview with the media before the game, Lithuanian core inside Jonas Valanciunas emphasized preparations, team identity and how to deal with the challenges brought by Giannis Antetokounmpo.

After a full day of preparation, Valanciunas said Lithuania had a clear plan, but also admitted that it was extremely difficult to stop one of the world's top players. "We spent two days - a full day to be exact - preparing against Greece. They are a very capable team, especially when it comes to shooting from the outside. And Giannis, who is very capable in his personal ability, so we have to do our job. We are ready, have a game plan and will show it on the court tomorrow."

When asked how to limit Giannis, he refused to reveal the details: "I won't tell you that it's our game plan. Each team has its own style, and we have it. We will play our own advantage."

Valanciunas also emphasized the threat of Greece in experience and three-point shooting: "They are a team with strong three-pointers and a high shooting percentage. They have many experienced players who know how to play this kind of game. So we have to avoid mistakes and not give them the chance to score easily, and do a good job on both sides of the offense and defense."
