Rasheer Fleming, the Phoenix Suns' inside star selected in this year's NBA Draft, recently accepted an interview with Duane Rankin, a reporter from Phoenix local media The Arizona Republic. In the interview, he also talked about the team's new head coach Jordan Ott's expectations for him.

Fleming said: Ultra is very acknowledging my current defensive ability and contribution to the defensive end, and he has been providing various guidance on my defense. Not only that, he also saw my potential on the offensive end. However, at this stage, his biggest expectation for me on the court is to make me try every means to help the team improve the number of rounds on the court, which is what he told me just a few days ago. Fleming continued: Ultra told me that he needed me to improve my focus on the defensive end, such as completing steals, defending the corresponding players, getting defensive rebounds, and getting frontcourt rebounds on the offensive end. These methods can help the team improve the number of rounds, which can also affect the trend of the game. I agree with his suggestions very much, and I will also find ways to start from small things, improve my performance on the court and provide more help to the team.

Fleming was born in July 2004 and is 21 years old. He is the Suns' 31st pick in the second round in this year's NBA Draft. According to data from the joint trial physical test session before the draft, Fleming's bare foot height is 203.8cm, his wingspan is 226.7cm, his standing height is 276.9cm, and his weight is 105.4kg. In the NCAA game last season, Fleming played 35 times for St. Joseph's University, with averaging 31.3 minutes per game, averaging 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds (2.1 frontcourt rebounds), 1.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 turnovers and 2.5 fouls. He shot 53.1% from the field (5.4/10.1), 39% from three-point shooting percentage (1.8/4.5), and 74.3% from free throws (2.1/2.9).

In the previous NBA Summer League, Fleming made 3 appearances for the Suns, averaging 16.8 minutes per game, averaging 7.3 points, 4 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks, 0.3 turnovers and 2.3 fouls, with a shooting percentage of 50% and a three-point shooting percentage of 36.4%. Fleming actually showed quite good personal abilities on the defensive end during the summer league. He is a very good defender. He has a strong defensive coverage and a high level of defensive focus. He can also assume various responsibilities on the defensive end. Fleming is also a good team player on the offensive end. He doesn't play randomly on the court, and it seems that he has rich offensive methods and stable scoring abilities. The most important thing is that Fleming has a very good mentality and is willing to do dirty work and tiring work on the field. This is also a very valuable asset for young players. I don’t know what Fleming will perform in the NBA next season.
