June 11th News Marc Stein, a well-known sports reporter, expects Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd to coach in the Knicks.

And yesterday, Marc Stein revealed in his report that some inside the Mavericks believed that the Knicks might not make a formal request to interview Kidd in the end. He wrote: "There are insiders of the Mavericks who believe that the Knicks will not eventually take the step of formally applying for an interview. As I reported earlier, some people familiar with the matter believe that even if the Knicks apply, it is very likely that they will be rejected immediately."

The Mavericks and Kidd have two years left in their contract. Kidd previously coached the Nets and the Bucks, with a total record of 362 wins and 339 losses in the regular season and a 31 wins and 33 losses in the playoffs. He played for the Knicks during his 2012-13 season.

In February this year, the Mavericks traded Luca Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Although they reached the finals last season, the Mavericks missed the playoffs this season.
